Post Weapons idea!!!!

There should be a weapon skin changer ......where you have to pay on current pricing. Its not fair that you have to keep spamming in towns or online to buy a weapon that just for looks, this way if you have a really nice sword with really nice stats and mods and have the appearance YOU want without any hassle whatsoever...I think that this should be used....

Plus an option for customized weapons should be that they can make special features on their sword i.e. sign it or change the appearance of the weapons (to an extent)

Another one of my ideasis a weapons trader who will buy weapons for their current status price and no selling (being that there is already a weapon skin changer).

This way there is now balance for everything....

ok...so let me get this straight.

Thers gonna be a guy who changes your weapon skins, and the price is based on how the much that skin is worth?

um...no.

thats just ludicrous.

I thought the OP mentioned that the price would be based off of status of the skin, not a fixed price.

I don't see why not though, wouldn't hurt.

But come on, if you look at reality, this isn't happening

Without a trader that regulates pricing, there is no way to find the price for your new skin.

What if it was just basic weapons skins. Like gladius, butterfly sword, katana, etc.

That would require a constant, manual monitoring of the market to achieve.

If it worked like a Dye trader, supply/demand, then all we'd have to do as a forum is not demand (and get all the other forums to join in) and then just spike upgrade to crystalines when the price is uber low.

Personally i fell that if you want a skin badly, get good enough to ge the area it's in, and try to find the weapon. Elite missions harbour Zodiac and some nice greens because they are meant to be played with some skill, so not only are you paying for a nice skin there, your paying for the fact that so few people (compared to total number of GW players) can get it.

And thats the same with crystalines, if you want one so so badly, farm up the cash for it, or go get lucky.

Nonono you guys misunderstood me...and clearly you didn't read the entire thread because it wasn't all one idea...i believe there were three...

I think that the weapon skins changer should be based on yes supply on demand where you can change what the skin of the sword looks like... I personally thought it would be a great idea so we wouldn't have to spend FOREVER just to collect certain skiins and have them avaible...im tired of always having to look for a sword to buy when i percfectly have the money...i usually can't play all that often usually i play for maximum 2 hours and 3 hours during weekends and when school starts probably none on the weekdays and 2 hours during the weekends

This idea is really for the people who don't play hours upon hours farming for a really good weapon and now you can use the same weapon over and over again without having to change anything.... just the appearance

As for the buying trader that was just a "maybe" to help balance out the other trader...being that no one would like to actually spam to buy swords anymore.... i was thinking maybe in the title we could have like PURE <insert name of weapon> to represent if it was actually found that way and IMPURE <insert weapon name> if it was modded.

Lastly, none of you guys thought about the customied skin changer. Writing and adjusting a sword from its defult to what you want??? Id think everyone would like this being that you weapon will look like what you want it to be.

This is just an idea...you may help me change it around to your liking i never said it was final.

hmmm....well i guess you guys farm enough to get the good stuff...so i guess why bother lol.....anyway.....i personally like the idea....why bother spending your life farming for gold and then having to spend another o....11-12 hours online to get a great sword or sheild....this way everything is up to you and not have to waste your time...i mean who reallly likes playing for more than 3 hours O_o...Its a really cool game but not worth giving up that much

Because the game barely has an economy as is. The rare skin market is really the ONLY market in the game.

and you want to remove that market altogether and just have a merchant for it?

Ya....no thanks....just...

/no

YOU DONT NEED RARE SKINS TO HAVE A FUNCTIONAL AND PERFECTLY WORKABLE WEAPON Collector Items work just as well.

The rare skins are gold sinks. They are vanity skins. If you want the rare skin, buy it, or grind for it.

Nah sorry buddy cant agree! Im not a skin chaser its purely function for me. It's a thriving trade though for some players and they enjoy finding/buying/collecting the pretier skinned weapons so let them have it. Also I recently got into chests so Im reaping some of the rewards for people who'll pay big bucks for there skins. I would prefer that all weapons could be dyed though including greens. Beating someone in PvP with a Pink ugly stick would just be fantastic

Awful idea.

IF YOU WANT NICE SKINS WORK FOR THEM LIKE EVERYONE ELSE WHO WANTS THEM. YOU DONT NEED A CRYSTALLINE SWORD, IF YOU WANT ONE WORK FOR IT.

This is only beneficial to lazy people. Collectors items work just as well as perfect rare skinned ones. Maybe everyone should be given FOW armor too lol.

see, heres the thing though: if a ranger wants a longbow, he has certain skins that he will never be able to use. if he wants a shortbow, there are skins he will never be able to use. i would gladly work for a shortbow with the skin of a shadow bow, but they dont exist. maybe a skin merchant could change that.

WTF lol. This is one of the most laughable ideas ever. You want any skin without the farming or working hard which goes with it? If you want a nice skin just get a white or purple one and customize it. Skins dont make a good player, skill does. Having that shadow skin doesnt make you a better player than the normal collectors skin. If you want to "try out" a skin get a white one and use that. If you like it farm for it. You can get 15>50 shadow bows for like 15k which is very easy to get from just questing. Only expensive weapons are crystallines / dwarven axe/ serpent axes but crap ones dont cost much. I think this idea is just for either lazy people or people who want a 15>50 crystalline sword without working for it.

Hey, I can get the rin blade collectors sword but I want that crystalline skin. Woot 15>50 crystallines for all

Anet will NEVER EVER introduce this idea as it sucks.

Why dont you request for just more bow skins instead of your really absurd idea?

This is really no different than nice looking 15k armor, better looks for a price, but same effect.

I don't think Greens should be changed, since they have their own identity, but any normal weapon may as well be skin modable.

I personally look forward to accessing traders who can make specific weapons and sell weapon mods. Or perhaps if we could go to a smith and change the (unmodable) stats on our weapon, as well as buy weapon mods from traders, than all we need to do is find the skin we want. I am a firm believer that the only perk advanced players should have is spectacular armor and weapon visuals, not higher weapon quality and power, whatever needs to be added to make that happen has my approval.
